INDIA: Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial The Kashmir Files has embarked on a record-breaking run whether it’s related to the box office or prestigious awards. Now, the film is ready for another global achievement as it has been selected for Switzerland International Film Festival.
Besides adding his directorial vision, Vivek Agnihotri also penned the story for The Kashmir Files. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Bhasha Sumbli in the lead roles.

The National Awardee filmmaker shared the news on Twitter with a gripping poster of The Kashmir Files. The director tweeted, “Happy to inform that #TheKashmirFiles has been selected in the ‘OFFICIAL SELECTION’ category of the prestigious Switzerland International Film Festival.”
According to the tweet, The Kashmir Files bagged a prestigious opportunity to be chosen for Switzerland Film Festival. The film gained a nod in the Official Selection category.
Switzerland International Film Festival 2022 started on December 12 and it will conclude on December 16. As per the website of the prestigious film festival, the event will be held online.
In addition to Switzerland Film Festival, The Kashmir Files also bagged selections at the Seattle Film Festival, Indian Panorama, and Awareness Festival. Recently, the movie also proved its mettle at ITA Awards 2022. Vivek Agnihotri’s movie was honored as the Golden Film of Indian Cinema at the Television Academy Awards.
The Kashmir Files arrived on big screens on March 11, 2022, and since then it has created a multitude of milestones at the box office. With a budget of 15 crores, the film managed to create a tsunami at the box office. The movie bagged 340 crores at the global box office.
Recently, Vivek Agnihotri announced his upcoming film, titled “The Vaccine War.” The forthcoming movie will be bankrolled by Pallavi Joshi and Abhishek Agarwal. The movie is set to release on August 15, 2023, in a whopping 11 languages.
