INDIA: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain, who holds a strong portfolio in Delhi, is currently undergoing physiotherapy in Tihar jail. Recently, a video of Jain went viral, in which the minister is seen taking a foot massage, and the opposition slammed the leader for being privileged.
However, the AAP party proved Jain to be medically ill. Meanwhile, as per sources, the alleged person seen providing massage to Jain was a prisoner named Rinku, who doesn’t have the necessary qualifications for being a physiotherapist.
In a recent development, sources revealed that Rinku is charged with rape and a case has been registered at the JP Kalan Police Station against him.
The alleged rapist turned physiotherapist is booked under Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act and Sections 376, 506, and 509 of the IPC.
Currently, the election campaign in Gujarat is ongoing. AAP is trying its luck in the state before its victory in Punjab. Meanwhile, any allegations against the party could harm their vote count.
Therefore, AAP chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal clarified the rumours against the floating viral video of Jain and said, “I just want to say that the opposition is claiming that he was getting a massage done, and it is part of the VIP treatment. No, it is physiotherapy. The doctors had recommended him.”
According to Kejriwal, the alleged rapist is an eligible person who is recommended by doctors for their incarcerated leader. In the early past, the Delhi minister of health was reportedly seen getting a full body massage, including a head massage, from Rinku. On September 21, he was spotted interacting with three other people in his jail alongside Rinku.
As per reports, the AAP leader had applied for a bail plea, which was dismissed by the court, and following the sprouting video, the superintendent of Central Jail No. 7, Ajit Kumar, was suspended along with 28 other officers and was instantly transferred in connection with the reference video.
