He also finished as the highest run-scorer in the 2014 T20 World Cup. In that tournament, he scored 319 runs in six matches, averaging 106.33 runs per match. He had hit four half-centuries, the highest of which was a 77.
Virat Kohli had led all T20 World Cup run scorers before the beginning of the competition. He has scored 1,141 runs at an average of 81.50 in 27 matches.
Across all T20 World Cups he has played in, he has hit 14 half-centuries, with an individual best of 89*.
In the 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli’s heroics were not enough to secure the second T20 World Cup title for the Indian team. India previously won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.
