Following the massive success of The Kashmir Files, the filmmaker is back with another unique and gripping title. In addition to the film title, he also unveiled the debut date and brand-new poster.
Vivek Agnihotri earlier created hype among the audience by sharing a Twitter post, which read, “THE (_) WAR, fill in the blank!’’ The filmmaker added, “Can you guess the title of my next film?’’ Many users replied to the post with speculated titles that presented their excitement.

Now, the wait is over as Vivek Agnihotri finally announced his next film. The filmmaker tweeted, “ANNOUNCEMENT: Presenting ‘THE VACCINE WAR’ – an incredible true story of a war that you didn’t know India fought. And won with its science, courage & great Indian values. It will release on Independence Day, 2023. In 11 languages. Please bless us.”
According to the tweet, The Vaccine War will arrive on Indian big screens on August 15, 2023. The film will be released in 11 languages, which include Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi, and Bhojpuri.
Sharing the grand release date of The Vaccine War in multiple languages, Vivek Agnihotri shared a post on Twitter. The director tweeted, “For the first time ever an Indian film will release in 11 Indian languages. At @i_ambuddha & @AAArtsOfficial it’s our humble initiative to help integrate Indian film industry as one. #BharatKaApnaCinema.”
In addition, to the release date announcement, Vivek Agnihotri also shared a brand-new poster that carries a lot of hidden details for The Vaccine War. The key visual showcases a vaccine bottle, which features the film’s title and the makers’ names.
The picture reads, “A WAR YOU DIDN’T KNOW YOU FOUGHT. AND WON.” It also adds, “A TRUE STORY.” The storyline details of the movie remain in mystery, but from the film’s title, we can speculate that it will be based on India’s contribution to Covid vaccine during the pandemic.
Vivek Agnihotri will add his directorial vision to The Vaccine War. Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi will bankroll the film under the banner of the Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and I Am Buddha foundation.
For the unknown, Abhishek Agarwal Arts is the hit-machine production house that has delivered two blockbuster titles back-to-back. The Kashmir Files and Karthikeya 2 land as the hit titles of the production banner.
Besides the directorial and production team, the lead actors have yet to be confirmed. Given such a huge announcement, it is expected that the ensemble cast will be announced soon.
