INDIA. Mumbai: Indian External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar paid homage to the victims of the infamous 26/11 Mumbai attack in 2008, as part of a two-day anti-terrorism conference of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) hosted in India starting on Friday.

At the meeting attended by foreign diplomats and dignitaries, India played an audio clip of Pakistani terrorist Sajid Mir in Mumbai.

In the clip, he is heard giving specific directions for a successful attack on Chabad House during the 26/11 terrorist atrocity. The clip’s release is now undeniable proof against Pakistan and its involvement in the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.

Speaking at the UN meeting, Jaishankar said: “18 members of the Indian Police Forces, 12 members of the Taj hotel staff and security were martyred in the line of duty. As we pay tribute to them at the 26/11 memorial site, we salute their valour and their resolve.”

The EAM proceeded to describe the attack not as a solitary event in India, but as a heinous massacre and terrorist attack on the global community.

Jaishankar also called out the UNSC, slamming the international body for its “regrettable” failure to punish the criminals involved in this atrocity, due to “political considerations”, exposing China’s efforts to block Mir’s designation as an international terrorist.

“Nations of specific countries were identified before being murdered. As a result, the commitment of each and every member state of the UN to combat terrorism stood publicly challenged,” he said.

Moreover, Jaishankar did not mince his words as he singled out Pakistan for its direct involvement in the ghastly Mumbai terror attack, stating that the task of bringing punitive justice to the perpetrators remains unfinished.

“The key conspirators and planners of the 26/11 attack remain protected and unpunished,” he added.

Addressing the UN diplomats, the external affairs minister expressed hopeful concerns about a collective international effort to bring criminals and perpetrators to the justice stand for their due punishment.

“Together, we should send out the message that the international community will never give up on holding terrorists accountable and delivering justice. 26/11 will never ever be forgotten,” he said.

Sajid Mir, a Pakistan-based terrorist, is currently one of the most notorious terrorists in the world today, appearing under the MOST WANTED section of the official website of the FBI.

Sajid Mir is wanted for his alleged role in orchestrating, planning and directing preparations and reconnaissance, during the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai.

He operates as part of the Pakistan-based foreign terrorist group, Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT), and ordered the attack on Chabad House in Mumbai’s Nariman Point.

Sajid Mir is believed to be currently residing in Pakistan, as per FBI details.
