UNITED STATES: Recently, JWST released stunning pictures of the pillars of creation, which revealed how powerful the telescope is.

NASA has now released audio of the ‘pillars of creation’. Due to NASA’s mind-boggling innovation, people can not only see the beauty of the image but also listen to it.

The audio, along with the picture, was posted on the official page of nasahubble on Instagram. The picture was captioned: “The famous star-forming region known as the pillars of creation was revisited yesterday in a stunning new image reveal from our telescope teammate NASAWebb! But beyond looking at the pillars, we can listen to them too. This is a data sonification that features information from Hubble and nasachandraxray!”

If you are wondering how these sounds are produced, then here is an explanation. The technique that is used to convert digital information into images is also used by NASA. This process is called data sonification.

NASA explained that pitch and volume values are assigned to many aspects of the image, such as brightness and location. The left side of the image is where each translation below starts, and it moves to the right.

Although there is no sound in space, sonifications offer a fresh perspective on how to experience and understand data.

Notifications enable the audience to “listen” to celestial photographs and explore their data, including blind and visually handicapped groups.

This is not the first time NASA has released a sound of the image. Recently it released the sound of the Black Hole, which is at the center of the galaxy M87.

Sounds of images including NGC 1569, Hoag’s object, Bubble Nebula, Butterfly Nebula, NGC 2392, Westerlund 2, Hubble Ultra Deep Field, The Whirlpool Galaxy, Cat’s Eye Nebula, Supernova 1987A, Bullet Cluster, The Crab Nebula , and many more such cosmic objects’ audios can be obtained from NASA’s official website.
