The power of positive self-talk
Outer determination begins with inner affirmations. Brown Baby, Little Lady is a book that explores the power of positive self-talk for girls ages 4 to 8. Kid author, Layla Sanaa, acknowledges the questions that young girls often wonder: “What if they don’t like me?”, “Are my hair and clothes good enough?”, “What if they don’t pick me for their team?” Brown Baby Little Lady helps other girls like her recognize the best in themselves.
Featuring an African-American girl as the main character, Layla speaks to the beauty and possibility that lies within each individual girl while tackling the need for diversity in children’s books.
