Parasyte-the maxim followed genres such as body horror and horror thriller

Parasyte is based on Hitoshi Iwaaki’s 1988-1989 manga series of the same name. The anime series was adapted in 2014-2015. Studio Madhouse developed the sci-fi horror series titled “Parasyte-the maxim” under the directorial vision of Kenichi Shimizu. The anime consisted of twenty-four episodes, covering the entire manga series in a single season.

Parasyte is centred on parasitic creatures that hijack the human body and gradually take over the world population. The storyline begins with Shinichi Izumi, a 17-year-old high school student, being attacked by a parasite. However, the parasite fails to take over Shinichi’s entire body and instead settles in his right hand, awarding him with special abilities.
