BJP Drops Nitin Gadkari from its Parliamentary Board with the Sanction of RSS

This is surprising as BJP mostly refrain from detaining its ex-presidents from the decision-making process

INDIA: Senior Party Leader of BJP and Union Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari was dropped from the party’s parliamentary board on Tuesday. The decision came in with the consent of the RSS organisation.

This is a matter of astonishment because the ruling party mostly refrain from detaining its ex-presidents from the decision-making process. The Bharatiya Janata Party introduced Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Satyanarayan Jatiya, K Lakshman, BS Yediyurappa, Sarbananda Sonowal and Sudha Yadav in its apex organising board.

On the judgement taken by the Modi-led government, Gadkari said that the administration is running slow when it comes to taking decisions on time, “You can make miracles…and the potential is there…My suggestion is the future of Indian infrastructure is very bright. We need to accept good technology, innovation, research and successful practices in the world and the country. We should have alternative materials by which we can reduce costs without compromising on quality. And time is the most important thing in construction. Time is the biggest capital. The biggest problem is the government is not taking decisions on time”, said the Union Minister.

According to a senior source, “It is not only his (Nitin Gadkari) statements in public, but the ones also that grabbed headlines. He would frequently go out of the line even in private, causing shame to the government and party.” Both BJP and RSS may take other actions if Gadkari goes out of the saffron brass. While addressing the NATCON 2022 in Mumbai, the Minister said, “time is more important than technology or resources”, which clearly shows his disagreement with the party’s decision. This entire statement pops up before his elimination from the party’s top decision-making body.
