INDIA: Apple will produce its newest model, the iPhone14, in India. The Made in India iPhone 14 will begin to reach local customers in the next few days, according to a report by sources. The India-made Apple iPhone 14 will be marketed both domestically and internationally.

On September 7, Apple held an event called “Far Out” where it presented its 2022 iPhone lineup. There are three models in the series, the new iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

With the release of the iPhone 14 series, the Cupertino-based business discontinued its “small” portfolio. A better camera, more potent sensors, and a satellite messaging feature for sending SOS texts in an emergency are all included in the 2022 iPhone series.

Outside of Chennai, the Foxconn facility in Sriperumbudur will handle the distribution of the iPhone 14. For those who are unaware, Foxconn is a significant iPhone producer and the largest contract electronics manufacturer in the world.

With the release of the iPhone SE in 2017, the US-based corporation began producing iPhones in India. The iPhone SE, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and the forthcoming iPhone 14 are some of Apple’s technologically most advanced iPhones that are now produced here.

Apple stated, “We’re pleased to be manufacturing iPhone 14 in India,”. There are ground-breaking new technology and significant safety features in the new iPhone 14 series.

India is shown to be a sweet place for growth as the US IT giant claimed a “near doubling” of sales there for the three months ending in June 2022. In a recent analysis titled “Apple Supply Chain Relocation,” JP Morgan predicted that Apple would move about 5% of iPhone 14 production to India starting in late 2022 and increase that number to 25% by 2025.

In the meantime, the Indian government’s policy initiatives in the electronics industry have prodded major international suppliers to expand in India and motivated new firms to establish bases.

A 76,000 crore semiconductor scheme was announced late last year to boost domestic manufacturing of chips and display panels. The government has also unveiled attractive incentives to promote local production and export of telecom and networking equipment as well as IT products.

The fiscal support for new facilities (across technological nodes) was increased last week to cover 50% of project costs, further sweetening the semiconductor package.
