On this Independence Day, various films celebrate nationalism and patriotism, which functions as a highlighting aspect.

Border (1997)

Every Independence Day celebration is incomplete without J. P. Dutta’s “Border.” This movie requires no introduction because it has left a lasting impression on the audience. The war-action film has played an important role in conveying the essence of a soldier’s struggle.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002)

The movie perfectly captures the life of Indian freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. Many films are based on historical heroes’ lives, but none have come close to this visual impression. Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial vision boosted this movie, making a great impact on the youngsters of the 2000s.

Shershaah (2021)

Captain Vikram Batra’s life is chronicled in the film embodying all of the positive, straightforward, and loveable aspects. The journey of Captain Vikram Batra is a legend in and of itself. So, while it’s difficult to convey his complete journey in a two-hour film with all of the important points, this movie did an excellent job of honouring his life and his sacrifice for India.

Sardar Udham (2021)

Udham Singh was a historical revolutionary who arose from the pain and upheaval of British imperialism, which was sparked by the merciless General Michael O’Dwyer. The movie chronicles the life of a freedom fighter who experienced the tragedy of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, which is considered one of the most horrible incidents in Indian history.
