JAPAN: Since the arrival of One Piece Film: Red at the Japanese box office, the animated feature has embarked on a record-breaking spree. Now, Luffy and the pirate gang are set to sail for the United States, Canada, Germany, and the Australian box office ocean.
The makers of the 15th One Piece Film have officially unveiled the release date for the given countries. The anime feature has completed its one-month run at the Japanese box office and continues to collect excellent numbers. Now, the movie is set to debut at the global level.
One Piece Film: Red bagged the U.S.A., Canada, and Germany release date
The official Twitter handle of One Piece Film: Red unveiled the release date for various countries. The tweet read, “[#FILMRED GLOBAL REPORT] “FILM RED” will be released in the following countries!! In theaters…-U.S.A. and Canada: November 4 (Fri)-Germany and Austria: October 13 (Thu)-Australia and New Zealand: November 3 (Thu) *Local time in each country. #OP_FILMRED #ONEPIECE.”
The anime film will release in the given countries on the release date mentioned below:
- Germany and Austria release date: October 13, 2022.
- Australia and New Zealand release date: November 3, 2022.
- U.S.A. and Canada release date: November 4, 2022.
In August, PVR. Pictures also revealed the Indian release date of One Piece Film: Red. PVR tweeted, “The wait is finally over! After smashing records at the Japanese Box office, the pirates are coming to a cinema near you on 7th October! Here’s the official dated poster for one of 2022’s biggest anime releases, ONE PIECE FILM: R.E.D.! #OnePiece #OnePieceRed #Luffy.”
According to the tweet, One Piece Film: Red will arrive in Indian theaters on October 7, 2022. India will witness the action-adventure anime film prior to the United States, Canada, and Germany. The makers shared no clear reason for the huge gap in release date between the given countries.
One Piece Film: Red was released in Japan on August 6, 2022, and managed to take the top spot at the box office with its debut on opening weekend. With 1.58 million tickets sold, the movie made 2.25 billion yen in just two days.
The anime feature also surpassed Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick, landing in the top 10 highest-grossing anime films category at the Japanese box office. Now, The Straw Hat legend appears to accumulate new oceanic treasures at the global level.
