UNITED STATES: Around 15 minutes after liftoff, the Starlink satellites were successfully deployed by the Falcon 9 upper stage as it continued to accelerate toward low Earth orbit.
On Tuesday, SpaceX carried out a rocket landing on a ship at sea and sent another large batch of its Starlink broadband satellites into orbit (Aug. 9).
At 10:14 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket carrying 52 Starlink spacecraft launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida (0214 GMT on Aug. 10).
The Falcon 9’s first stage returned to Earth less than nine minutes after the liftoff. It made a vertical landing on the SpaceX drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas, which was positioned in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida.

SpaceX is currently allowed to launch 12,000 satellites and has requested permission to launch an additional 30,000.

According to a SpaceX mission summary, the Falcon 9 first stage that took to the skies on Tuesday has already completed two space missions. Although that’s impressive, SpaceX has launched 13 orbital missions with three different Falcon 9 rockets, so this number is far from their record.
The launch of Starlink was a part of a busy day for SpaceX. Additionally, today, the business tested the “static fire” engines of its Starship deep-space transportation system prototypes Booster 7 and Ship 24 at its South Texas plant.
For the Starship program’s first-ever orbital test flight, which the company hopes to launch soon, SpaceX is getting Booster 7 and Ship 24 ready.
