UNITED STATES. California: The CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, seems unhappy with many workers’ production. In a meeting convened by management, the employees were exhorted to work swiftly and focus more on methods to serve customers better and enhance their services.

Pichai believes that given the firm’s size, productivity at Google is weak and below what it should be. In essence, this says that the CEO of Google thinks the company has too many unproductive, disorganised staff.

Pichai allegedly encouraged staff members to “build a culture that is more mission-oriented, more focused on our products, and more focused on our customers,” according to reports.

“We should consider ways to cut down on interruptions and significantly improve output and product quality,” he added.

Google announced that the profitability and revenue for the second quarter of 2022 were “weaker than projected,” as well for the first quarter. This information was made public shortly after that.

According to the referenced source, this quarter’s growth for the software giant was down 13% from the same period last year.

The search engine giant has requested a new set of prioritised staffing requests for the upcoming three months and recently wants to “evaluate headcount needs.”

As a result of a lack of skill, productivity, and efficiency, as well as the apparent need to cut costs, this portends that the company may soon fire some staff.

Just a few weeks prior, the business had announced that it would slow down the hiring process, which is expected to continue for the rest of the year. Numerous significant technology corporations have either stopped hiring or let go of hundreds of employees due to the looming crisis.
