UNITED STATES: Finally, a new poster for Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming thriller Oppenheimer is released. The poster for the Cillian Murphy starrer film illustrates the havoc wreaked by the atomic bomb’s effect. The image depicts the talented actor standing in the midst of a cloud of fire and smoke.

The upcoming thriller film is a biopic of J Robert Oppenheimer, a scientist renowned as the “father of the atomic bomb” who helped set up the Manhattan Project during World War 2. Christopher Nolan added his directorial vision to the film while he also penned down the story, based on Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin’s book, American Prometheus.

Oppenheimer stars Cillian Murphy in the titular role. Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Matthew Modine, David Dastmalchian, and Jack Quaid round up the talented ensemble.

The official Twitter handle of the Oppenheimer film unveiled the poster. The tweet read “# Oppenheimer-Only in theatres 7 21 23.” The cinematic poster is released about a year before the film’s theatrical debut.

The poster appears to be visually stunning, yet the orange smoke conceals horror. The perched key figures reflect Cillian Murphy standing in a formal coat and pants, wearing a hat, while the banner states, “The world forever changes.” The hat mostly conceals his eyes, leaving the scientist with a mysterious appearance. The poster’s most intriguing component is the lighting and colour design, which suggests something big is on the way.

The film teaser is slated to release largely in theatres. Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s previous feature, received its initial teaser in a theatrical release. The sci-fi film’s teaser was associated with Hobbs and Shaw. Similarly, Oppenheimer’s teaser is anticipated to have a theatrical release before being made available online to fans.
