UNITED STATES: Finally, Thor: Love and Thunder makes its big-screen debut. With a bang, the God of Thunder serves up a blend of romance and comedy. Following a strong start at the box office, Academy Award winner Taika Waititi’s direction expands on the Space Viking’s adventure.

Thor: Love and Thunder lands with an excellent start at the box office

On its first day of release, the Chris Hemsworth starrer film performed decently at the box office on a non-holiday basis. Thor: Love and Thunder, which opened on July 7, had a 40–50% occupancy rate. Even still, the film’s box office performance isn’t as strong as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The success of Doctor Strange 2 at the box office was greatly influenced by Spider-Man: No Way Home. The movie had Doctor Strange as its main character, and the finale also featured the trailer, which raised the bar. The Thor fandom, however, has a vast gap since the character’s previous appearance in Avengers: End Game. Judging the box office race of God of Thunder, the film could cross 20 crores in India.

Thor: Love and Thunder’s global opening weekend brought in $15.7 million (124+ crores Indian rupees), and according to Variety, it is anticipated that Thor: Love and Thunder would earn between $145 million to $155 million by Sunday. The film made its debut one day earlier in India, before the US release.
