UNITED STATES: Thor embarks on a quest for self-discovery, indicating that the god of thunder is no longer in his Hero phase. With just a few days until its theatrical debut, Marvel follows trends in its library of clips for Space Viking to keep viewers excited.
The most recent clip indicates that Gorr used the Venom-like creatures as his servants, spurring a lively discussion of theories. Only keen viewers would have noticed Gorr the God Butcher’s minion in the most recent rendition of the Thor trailer.
We will see Thor in his leisure period, where he will come across Gorr the God Butcher, who is on the point of exacting his retribution on all gods. Thor, The Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, Korg, and Miek will set out on a mission to end Gorr’s murderous rampage.
Knull: The God of Symbiote first created the Necrosword
Along with being a diehard Spiderman foe, Venom stories were modified to take place at the beginning of the Marvel universe. Since the character’s debut in the comic books, the symbiotic anti-hero has amassed a sizable fan base. Venom vol. 4, released in 2018, reveals the full-fledged foundations of Venom’s existence, including the history of symbiotes.
The depiction of Knull in the comics significantly increased its popularity since its debut. The wicked deity devised the All-Black the Necrosword to sever the celestial’s head, which is also said to be the same head that formed the planet Knowhere. Knull utilized the Necrosword to create symbiotes that he dispersed around the cosmos to rule the entire world and slaughter the celestials.
In Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s deleted scene, the God of Symbiote almost hinted at an easter egg. In the deleted clip, Carnage reveals the existence of the symbiotes’ collective father, referring to Knull.
The God Butcher embarks on a murderous rampage with the help of Necrosword
Gorr is the prototypical Thor adversary, first appearing in Thor: God of Thunder #1. His origin is a bleak tale of mass famine and religious beliefs inspired by his full-fledged hatred of the Gods. After going on a homicidal rampage among the gods, Gorr acquires the moniker “the God Butcher.” He collides with every god in the Marvel universe, slaughtering them mercilessly. Gorr’s deep hatred for gods lands him in a faceoff with Thor. Their fight in the comics was so ferocious that it made Thor unworthy.
Thor: God of Thunder depicted Gorr acquiring the Necrosword while witnessing two gods dueling. The blades encircled his arm like a symbiote. It is later discovered that Knull used the same Necrosword to create symbiotes. Gorr later uses the sword to slaughter every god in the Marvel cosmos. Since the cinematic version of Necrosword differs significantly from the comic book version, it is unclear whether the film will emphasize the symbiote and Gorr’s link.
