UNITED STATES: Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have confirmed their relationship. The pair tied the knot in a private ceremony at their Thousand Oaks home on Thursday, June 9.
Britney and Sam’s love story
When Sam was cast as her love interest in her “Slumber Party” music video in October of 2016, the singer met the actor and fitness instructor on the set.
His picture was one of many that the celebrity had to sort through and choose from.
She chose him as soon as she laid eyes on him. “I did not have to audition,” he has said. “It was a direct book.”
On New Year’s Day 2017, the singer made their relationship Instagram public by posting a selfie of herself and Sam at dinner. They’ve since collaborated on a number of tandem workout videos.
“I came up with the workouts, but my better half came up with the videos.” Sam has revealed that she is the video director.
“It’s a really fun thing, and I grin back at them.” As the grassroots effort to abolish Britney’s conservatorship gathered traction, Sam publicly backed it, posting a selfie wearing a #FreeBritney t-shirt and congratulating the singer when her father’s authority over her personal life and finances was lifted.
Sam proposed with a traditional 4-carat round brilliant cut diamond solitaire in a platinum cathedral setting by Roman Malayev in September of 2021, and the couple married in October of that year. Inside the band, Sam etched “Lioness,” his personal nickname for Britney.
The couple announced Britney’s pregnancy in April 2022, letting fans know they were growing their family.
However, a month later, the couple announced Britney’s miscarriage on Instagram, writing: “Our love for each other is our strength.” We’ll keep trying to grow our wonderful family…”
Details about the wedding
The bride chose a classic white veil with satin border and a sleek, off-the-shoulder couture Versace gown with a leg-revealing slit along one side. In a Versace tux, Sam matched Britney’s style.
The singer’s bridal jewellery totaled 62 carats and was designed by celebrity jeweller Stephanie Gottlieb.
Stephanie also designed the couple’s wedding bands, with Britney opting for a stunning stack of two bands to complement her engagement ring and Sam opting for two platinum bands.
A white horse with gilded hooves pulled a carriage fit for the Princess of Pop outside the couple’s home, which was decked in pink and white roses for the event.
The ten-minute ceremony took place in a blush-colored velvet tent. Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton and Carter Reum, Kathy Hilton, Maria Menounos, Ansel Elgort, will.i.am, Cade Hudson, and Donatella Versace were among the guests.
It was time to celebrate after the wedding. Britney changed into three additional outfits at the celebration.
Versace presented a black little dress, a two-toned ensemble, and finally a red tiny dress. The couple’s citrus blossom cake was made by Contemporary Catering, while DJ Albert provided the music.
The bride, Selena Gomez, Madonna, and the bride danced together to “Toxic,” followed by Paris and Britney singing “Stars Are Blind.”
The couple departed in a Rolls Royce around 10:15 p.m. Guests surrounded their automobile with sparklers as they drove away.
