Grange School Emerged Champions at Zenith Bank Swimming Gala

NIGERIA. LAGOS STATE: Grange School won the Zenith Bank School Swimming Gala competition in Ikoyi, Lagos State, with ten gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.

It was also revealed that Grange School won the secondary category of the same competition a few weeks ago.

ST. Saviour’s Schools finished second in the primary category of the competition at Ikoyi Club over the weekend, with seven gold medals, seven silver medals, and nine bronze medals. Children’s International Schools came in third place with five gold, nine silver, and four bronze medals.

The final stage of the competition, which was disrupted by heavy rain, resumed later, and the Grange schools excelled.

Speaking after the competition, Kunle Adeniji, Chairman of the Ikoyi Club Swimming Section, praised the organizers, participants, school authorities, and parents for providing such an opportunity for children to showcase their talents. He also praised the parents for allowing their children to participate in the competition despite the risks associated with swimming.

Adeniji praised Zenith Bank for its ongoing support for the program. He says it has helped Nigeria produce future swimming stars, some of whom are excelling in various countries thanks to scholarships.

11-year-old Obaloluwa Omotosho of Saviour’s school played a critical role in winning two gold and one bronze medal, which he dedicated to his parents for their unwavering support of his swimming career.
