INDIA. Mumbai According to a BSF spokesman, the Border Security Force (BSF) shot several rounds at a Pakistani drone in Jammu’s Arnia sector late Saturday evening, forcing it to flee.
“At 7.25 p.m., a Pakistani drone with blinking lights was seen approaching the Indian side in the Arnia area. The vigilant BSF forces fired roughly eight rounds to shoot down the drone as soon as it entered into Indian territory, but it was able to return,” S P Sandhu, Deputy Inspector General of the BSF, Jammu Frontier, stated.
The entire region has been blocked off, and a search effort is ongoing to guarantee that the payload was not dropped by the drone.
The drone activity was discovered three days after the BSF discovered an underground cross-border tunnel in the Samba district’s Chak Faquia area. The BSF discovered a cross-border tunnel beginning in Chak Faquira, Samba, on May 4, foiling Pak-based militants’ plans to disrupt the next Amarnath Yatra.
