UNITED STATES: The arduous wait has ended, as Disney+ and Max (previously HBO Max) will soon have the second installment of Avatar available to their subscribers. Cameron’s sci-fi epic will have its digital premiere on June 7 after its massive success in theatres, 13 years after the release of the original Avatar picture. The viewers will also get to see a special glimpse of the behind-the-scenes footage featuring the cast and crew of the movie.
The highly-anticipated film became one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, surpassing movies like Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Titanic.
The release was delayed as the deal signed between Disney and Max was in process. But now, it will be available for subscribers. If reports are to be believed, the film will also be available on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Prime Video, Vudu, and Google Play. The award-winning 2009 epic adventure “Avatar” shook the box office collection back then, and once again, it rocked the box office this year.
The movie “Avatar 2” has Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet in key roles.
The movie is a 20th Century Studios-Lightstorm Entertainment production by Cameron and Jon Landau. The highly intensified VFX film is enriched with entertainment as the landscapes shown are beyond the wildest imagination.
The story shows the Sully family (Jake Sully, Neytiri, and their children) as they journey into an anonymous region of Pandora. Jake is forced to start a war against the human race when an old threat is revoked.
