GLA University Professors Release New Collaborative Book Titled ‘International HRM’

The book is written by Dr. Rubee Singh and Dr. Shahbaz Khan. It was inaugurated by Hon’ble Member of Parliament and veteran Bollywood actress, Mrs. Hema Malini

INDIA. Uttar Pradesh, Mathura: GLA University Professors, Dr. Rubee Singh, and Dr. Shahbaz Khan launched their new collaborative book titled ‘International HRM’ on November 19. The book is co-authored by Dr. Jacinta Dsilva, University of Balamand, Dubai, and Dr. Prateep V Philip IPS, Former DGP Tamilnadu.

After the release of the book, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Bollywood actress, Mrs. Hema Malini gave her blessings to the authors and the co-authors while inaugurating the book release event. She also commended the efforts of the GLA University faculty.

During the inauguration ceremony, Mrs. Malini enquired about the contents and utility of the contents and prospective readers of the book. Dr. Singh explained the main contents and benefits of this book for prospective management students. 

Talking about the book, Mrs. Malini said, “This book has been written on a very vivid subject and will educate the new generation very well in today’s environment. I hope that teachers should be interested in teaching as well as writing.”

International HRM

The book title ‘International HRM’ was published by Crescent Publishing Corporation in May 2021. This book analyses the comprehensive guide for all the students, instructors, and International Human Resource Management professionals to build a strong base for IHRM practices in the current scenario. 

The syllabus is designed to build a knowledge base of the contemporary practices and issues in International Human Resource Management. This book aims to provide an understanding of the theoretical concepts and the practical implications of international HRM and to take a strategic view of new developments in international HRM.

About the Authors

Dr. Rubee Singh is an editor, author & Social Activist. She is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Business Management, GLA University India. She has been awarded Honorary Doctorate in Human Rights & Peace from Royal American University USA for her outstanding contribution to social work. 

Recently awarded as Chartered Global Peace Building Professional (CGPP) by The George Washington University of Peace USA. She holds a Doctorate in HR & an MBA in HR. 

Dr. Singh is a Managing Editor of IJIEMR & IJARSH India. She is a United Nations Volunteer and also a contributing author for Voices of Youth (UNICEF).

Invited by WEPS Forum of UN Women to attend IWD’20 in New York USA. She is an honorary life member of the Women Economic Forum. She is National Secretary of IATM (Youth Wing) International Anti Terrorism Movement India. Dr. Singh is a National Record Holder by India Book of Records-2020 & Asia Book of Records Holder for 2021.

She has published more than 35 research articles in many reputed journals including Scopus, and the ABDC category. She has also authored 13 academic books.

Dr. Shahbaz Khan is an Assistant Professor & Area Co-chair of Operations, Supply Chain & Business analytics at the Institute of business management, GLA university India. He has published more than 35 research articles in many reputed journals including Scopus Q1, SCI, ABDC-A & B category.

He has a total of 641 google citations and 548 research gate citations which is the highest citation in his department in GLA University. 

Khan has obtained his Ph.D. and M. Tech degree with a specialization in Industrial and Production Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia India. He is a gold medallist in M. Tech. He is a life member of the International Association of Engineers, Thailand. Along with this, he has authored two academic textbooks.

Dr. Jacinta Dsilva is an author, consultant, curriculum developer, and academician. She is an Assistant Professor, Marketing at the University of Balamand, Dubai, UAE, and a Visiting Scholar at Chongqing Technology and Business University, China.

She has worked at several prestigious UAE-based international universities such as Modul University, Emirates Aviation University, Higher Colleges of Technology, and the University of Wollongong in Dubai. She was a Senior Lecturer at the prestigious St. Agnes College, Mangalore, India. 

DSliva was awarded a Ph.D. in Marketing from Coventry University, Coventry, the UK for her work on ‘Service quality in Low-Cost Carrier’ in 2017. She has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Scopus and ABDC. She has authored five academic books so far.

Dr. Prateep V. Philip IPS joined Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1987 and was allotted to the Tamil Nadu cadre. He served in various capacities as Superintendents of Police, Deputy

Inspector-General of Police, Inspector General of Police, Additional Director General of Police, and Director General of Police. 

Philip is the only officer in the country and the world to start the Friends of Police movement that has received several accolades including the Queen’s Award for Innovation in Police Training and Development, by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 and the SKOCH GOLD AWARD – highest independently instituted civilian honor in India.

He is the only officer to receive Silver Plaque and Commendation from the Hon. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa during the Medal Parade held in 2002. He is the first officer in the world to create a new thought process & Equilibrium Thinking.

Philips has authored four books named ‘The Friends of Police Movement’, ‘Word Empowered Life’, ‘For Better Through Verse’, ‘Fillipisms – 3333 Maxims to Maximize your Life’.
