NIGERIA. Abuja: The Nigerian government is set to partner with China in the development of China’s digital economy which will further strengthen its economic development.
The agreement will further fortify the economic leadership structure of both countries in order to be able to attract national recognition or witness more foreign investment.
This was disclosed by the county’s ambassador to Nigeria, Excellency Cui Jianchun during his visit to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, in Abuja.
Jianchun added that he is glad that today Nigerians are expressing their interest in long term partnerships and collaborations with the Nigerian digital economy aspect.
China is ready to explore the 5Ts which he categorised as – Technology transfer (salt exchange), Talent cultivation, Treasure capitalisation, Technology application and Tradition transcendence with Nigeria. Both countries have similar talent and strength which can be judiciously used, Jianchun said.
For continuation purposes, both countries will continue to invest in the appropriate channels for development.
Jianchun, therefore, told Pantami that China is currently putting more effort into developing rightful targets in the aspect of the country’s politics, economy, security, agriculture, tourism and culture.
Jianchun however, pleaded with Pantami to see the opportunity as a significant way for both countries to come together to organize and to be able to achieve more.

While responding to Jianchun’s claims, professor Pantami promised the Chinese ambassador of Nigeria full support and in all aspects of partnership he presented, to back up the existing relationship between China and Nigeria.
Pantami also presented to Jianchun a copy of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) with the belief of partnering with China in the areas listed in the policy.
